About · Our Story

We partner with organizations
of every kind and every stage.

Centermark Consulting is a senior consulting practice built for organizations of every kind and every stage. We work across industries with leadership teams navigating change — strategy refreshes, transitions, formation, repositioning, and the operating lift that follows. Our practice is grounded in the same change methodology we bring to each engagement, so the strategy we shape is something the operations team can actually execute.

The practice grew out of two decades of operating inside the industries we now advise — strategy, supervision, compliance, and the operating-model work behind each. That operating background shapes how we scope: at the surface area of the work, against the controls our clients already run, and with deliverables your leadership can sign off on. Regulated financial services — broker-dealer, RIA, and advisory firm work — is one cohort we serve, alongside operating companies, boards and owners, and new ventures.

Mission

Risk-first,
compliance-anchored.

The recommendations we make hold up to supervisory review, exam scrutiny, and the day-to-day discipline of the operations team that has to live with them.

Our mission is to help organizations of every kind and every stage navigate change — strategy, advisory, formation, operational reset — without compromising the controls, governance, and discipline that protect the people they answer to. From operating companies in transition to broker-dealers, RIAs, and advisory firms under exam posture, we bring a single senior-partner engagement model shaped by two decades of operating inside the kinds of organizations we advise.

  • We commit to senior partners, never an offshore delivery team
  • We commit to written deliverables your leadership can sign off on
  • We commit to change work paired to the governance framework
  • We commit to one accountable partner from kickoff to handover

Industries we serve

A broad practice,
one practiced slice.

We work with organizations across operating environments. Regulated financial services — broker-dealer formation, RIA formation and compliance, and advisory firm growth — is one area we cover, alongside the operating segments below.

  1. 01

    Operating companies

    Operating companies in transition

Strategy, advisory, and change work for operating companies scaling, repositioning, or operating through inflection points.

We work alongside leadership teams during transitions — strategy refreshes, post-transaction integrations, leadership changes, and the operating lift that follows. The work is concrete, scheduled, and owned by the people who will run it.

    • Strategy refresh and operating-model redesign
    • Post-transaction integration
    • Leadership transitions and succession
    • Roadmap design with named quarterly milestones
  2. 02

    Boards and owners

    Board and owner advisory

Independent perspective for boards, owner-operators, and investors navigating capital, governance, and major decisions.

We help boards and owners reason through capital allocation, governance design, and the operating economics behind major decisions. We do not provide investment advice — we help you think through the trade-offs.

    • Capital allocation and unit-economics review
    • Governance design for boards and ownership
    • Diligence support for transactions and partnerships
    • Decision support for owners and operators
  3. 03

    New ventures

    Formation and launch

Strategic and operational support for new entities, new practices, and new lines of business coming to market.

From entity selection through launch readiness, we help new ventures put the right structure, governance, and operating cadence in place from day one — so the business starts with the controls it will need as it grows.

    • Entity-type selection (C Corp, LLC, partnership)
    • Governance-by-design setup
    • Operating cadence and launch readiness
    • Board and investor communications support
  4. 04

    Regulated financial services

    Broker-dealers, RIAs, and advisory firms

Formation, supervisory framework, and operating-model work for organizations operating under FINRA and SEC oversight.

One of our practiced areas. We support broker-dealer and RIA formation, ongoing compliance, and the supervisory frameworks that hold up under exam scrutiny — and we extend that work into advisory practices building toward a durable operating model.

    • Broker-dealer formation and ongoing compliance
    • RIA formation and compliance program design
    • Advisory firm growth without diluting controls
    • Supervisory, AML, and operating-model remediation

Leadership

The team,
not a delivery bench.

Our work is led by the team that scopes it. The same senior partners shaping the brief are in the room with your leadership team, and on the deliverable when it ships.
